Captain Marvel movie?

I read somewhere that they were going to make a Captain Marvel movie with Jake Glynnhall(I can't spell it) would play him. What do you think? I was also wondoring how they can make a movie when they can't print any new issues of the comic.

Is this DC's Captain Marvel, aka Billy Batson aka Shazam, or is it Marvel's Captain Marvel aka Mar-Vell of the Kree military (whose "Billy Batson-type" character was Rick Jones from the Hulk), or is it Marvel's other Captain Marvel, the female African-American who could transform her body into photons of coherent light? (Okay, so there's no way Jake Gyllenhaal would play that one. Just trying to be complete here.)



I think, considering the unexpected casting on some other superhero movies, like 6'2" Hugh Jackman as 5'3" Wolverine, or the formerly skinny Christian Bale as Batman, or the still-skinny Brandon Routh as Superman, it's maybe not such a far-fetched idea as it might sound. I don't really expect it'll happen, because rumor always connects big stars and superhero movies until some unpredictable semi-unknown gets cast--but I don't say it couldn't happen.

I think that may just be a rumor. There isn't even a script yet. New Line has decided not to go with William Goldman's draft, and John August has just gotten the assignment to script his own version.



Anyway, who would Jake Gyllenhaal play? He's too old to be Billy Batson, and he's not big enough to be Captain Marvel.
