I was wondering if anyone knows if Comic-Con San Diego has a age restriction on how old you have to be to attend without an adult? I dont think its the case but want to make sure.

I agree with Lee Houston Jr.

I 've been to quite a few back in the early eighties(down here in Houston, TX) from 13 to 15 years old.

I pretty much attended those conventions by myself.

Somehow I was unable to convince my parents to attend with me. Somehow they thought conventions for comic book collectors and sci-fi fans was a little too weird for their tastes.

Of course they thought comic book stores were weird!!

I don't know about the San Diego one but I've been to a few Comic-cons and I think an adult is not necessary except for some exhibits which may have an age limit... but the Comic con itself I think is open to all...

Depends upon what events/exhibitions you want to attend. While it is a good idea for anyone under 18 to be with their parent or guardian, there are some areas that they can go to on their own, like the dealers' room, autograph alley, and some panels.

You will have to judge it individually by person and specific situation.

But the main thing to remember is to HAVE FUN!

San Diego is like THE comic con of the year and unfortunately I have yet to attend one because of $, or actually the lack thereof. :(

Potentially 18 (as you might need an adult if you are a minor), but check with them to be certain.
