Question:
What's happened to Cartoon Network and Disney?

Now, I can't stand to watch Cartoon Network with all of it's new and crappy shows. I miss "The Acme Hour", "Tom and Jerry", and "Bugs and Daffy". I also miss the classic Disney movies. Now, it's all crappy movies, Miley Cyrus, and The Jonas Brothers. What's happened?

They're trying to change with the times, and the times don't seem to have very good taste anymore.

I miss watching Alice in Wonderland occasionally on Toon Disney (Alice is the best movie ever), The Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, The Flintstones, Dexter's Lab, and countless other CN/Disney things.

Don't worry. I asked myself the very question when shows like Hey Arnold, CatDog, Wild Thornberrys and My Life as a Teenage Robot started showing up. You're just growing up. edit* @ Story of a Girl, haha same answer. nice. BTW, back in my day, Disney was a premium channel. Don't know what they were showing then.

Wish I knew the answer to that myself.

If I could, I would catch a flight to Atlanta and try to straighten out the Cartoon Network myself.

Disney's problem is definitely looking at the bottom line too much: $.

Cartoon Network is now downright crappy than in the past.

Disney CHannel: what I cans ay is that Disney need to make money off of popular culture for tweens. SO DIsney CHannel is just for that.

It's very crappy, but it's mainly for tweens in a safe mode.

The Classic DIsney that everyone loves can mostly be seen on Disney Property such as DIsney WOrld. You can see it all the time in their station in the resorts

i have also noticed that. more rules and expectations are now put on the shows to be child friendly. basically the censorship has become even more strict because it is easier to get sued now then back in the time of Tom and Jerry.
