Music styles in Anime?

Hey all. It's been a while since I asked a serious anime question here, so I figured, what the hell?

So I want you to tell me what your favorite music styles in anime are.
I don't mean anime openings or closings either, I mean the music IN the show. The music that gets your blood pumping, brings tears to your eyes, or even makes you laugh.

One of my favorite music styles in an anime is the for the dramatic parts in Death Note (go figure lol). Seriously, like in the episode where L dies, that episode is just filled to the brim with amazing music. I swear to God every time I hear it it gives me chills cuz it's so awesome xD. I can use one word to describe that: Epic!

Samurai Champloo is another favorite when talking about music. I have a wide range of music that I like, and that includes the Hip Hop style in Samurai Champloo. Yea, it's pretty weird when you think about it, Samurai + Hip-Hop = awesome? lol but the equation really works out!

i was listening to my Death Note soundtrack number 2 to the song Death God World B (死神界B ,Shinigamikai B?)

its got a hip hop vibe to it, i could see ryuk being a hiphop gangster! lol

Fruits Basket has my favorite music. It's playful... but sad. Just like the anime. Really gives it the right feel.

I love Death Note's music too. L's theme is just so friggin exciting! Every time it plays it's like "Oooh something cool's gonna happen!"



'Beaming Sunlight' from FMA and 'Shining in the Sky' from Clannad, which, now that I think about it, are really similar, have a really good emotional effect. And I know it's pathetic, but I used to cry whenever 'Sadness and Sorrow' from Naruto was played ;;xD

I also really like the character themes from Inuyasha~



Ahh sorry for only naming music from uber mainstream anime!! >.< I think it's 'cause that's really the only anime [bkgd] music available for listening on the internet and all, so what I've listened to the most...



Ohh and I agree, Samurai Champloo's hip-hop music works really awesomely :D

My fav. anime music styles....



I too love the music in Death Note, L's theme is awesome. I also love the music in Naruto, I also like how each ninja has thier own theme, I love Rock Lee's theme thats played during his battles.



I love alot of anime style music, theres too many for me to list.



Yes, I think the details box should be larger, it'd be easier to view what you type when you're typing the details.

Actually, most of the time, I like the background music so much more than the openings and endings. xD



In Ouran High School, I like it when they play those fancy piano pieces. I feel so rich, when I play that music at home and I feel very much like a princess. LOLZ

i love the type of music in spongebob squarepants. it really gets ur attention gets the adrenaline rushing. plus, ireally do think they should make it bigger.
