Why does Bugs bunny walk around the cartoon naked, but puts a bathing suit on when he goes swimming?

Well, no one really knows the true answer to this question. But I can say they he's technically isn't naked, he's suppose to be a rabbit so he has cartoonish fur. so maybe he didn't want to get his tail wet... Sorry, that's the best i could do.
