Anime that didin't finish?

Question

Some animes didin't finish in their anime versions but did in their manga. I just read Sankarea and found out that the anime was cut short for some reason. Are there any other animes that was cut short like this but finished in their manga versions?
MM was cut short but i think that was becouse the creator sadly died.

Recommend mangas that finished but their anime versions didin't.

Kaichou Wa Maid-Sama. The anime covers the first 40 chapters of the manga and also had a good ending. But the true ending is in the manga.



The World God Only Knows. To fully understand this series you must split between reading the manga and watching the anime. So how I completed it was Season 1-->Season 2-->Chapter 43-113-->Tenri OVA-->Season 3-->Chapter 190-268



Nana. This anime was placed on hiatus after the creator got in an accident.



Sakurasou na Pet no Kanojo. In terms of completion, Sakurasou's progress is pretty sad. This great anime is very far ahead of the manga. Only one season because J.C staff couldn't generate enough sales for a second season. Only way to complete the series is by reading the original light novel.



Highschool of the Dead. If I'm not mistaken the author ran out of ideas after the first season. So both the anime and manga are currently on hiatus.



These are just the few anime series I could think of the top of my head.

yes, the majority of anime finish before the manga's story finishes, so you can almost always get more of the story by reading the manga.

d. Gray-man was cut short around the scenes in vol. 16 because of budget reasons because Hoshino went on a short hiatus around that time.
