What is up with people and this show? Everytime I turn around people are praising this show on Youtube! And if you don't believe me, Youtube or TV Tropes it yourself. What really shocks me is one of the most masculin gangstas I know love the hell out of this show. He claim's Twilight is his *****...I mean this show must be really good if men watch it! So for those who have watched MLP make me a list explaining why I should or shouldn't watch this show. Have fun. Sparkle*Sparkle*

I'm gonna tell you right now, there are a sh*t tonne of guys how love this show; i am one of them. at first i was like, "hey, if so many of these people like it, i might as well give it a try". and it was amazing! to tell you the truth, i wasn't hooked on the first episode. but after the fourth i knew i was a brony.



it's by far the best cartoon around today (arguable). it's got great animation, interesting plots, character development, deep character personality, fantastic songs, educational messages, moral values, and fan-based input! seriously, i can't even count how many times the show has acknowledged and appraised our fandom by using our ideas and concepts, such as the derpy naming, which has only made the show more enjoyable. the show may seem childish (and it is), but their are actually alot of adult references in there as well.



more than the show, the brony community make the best fan videos. just go into youtube right now and search "ponies" and some great fan made videos will come up that will make you laugh your head off. more than just videos, bronies also make great fan-art, music, and fan-fics that are all dedicated to the show. it's all so great!!!! you should give it a try, watch an episode

A lot of folks can wax eloquent about why you should watch the show. I don't have that kind of time at the moment so I'll boil it down:



Genuinely likable characters with actual development

Actual humor with a delightful dash of random

High production quality

Good musical numbers

Not too girly (I'm a man and I like manly things so for me to like something such as this speaks volumes)



My only real recommendation is to just watch a couple episodes. Some personal favorites are It's About Time and Lesson Zero. Or start at the very beginning, those are good too. The two-part season finale is my all-time favorite, but some of it won't mean as much if you don't watch a few episodes to get what's going on. Anyway, give it a go. Once you've got a taste, make your own opinion. With any luck, the brony population might get a hair bigger.

It has very good characters, they all are very well developed and all relatable.

The humor in the show is brilliant, while some of it is references, the main bit of it is the reactions between everypony and is down right hilarious.

The fan base is fantastic, there are a lot of bronies out there that make everything, from music videos, animations, fan fiction (though most fan fic is weird and creepy), and a lot of very skilled fan artists, and the fan base can even affect the show at times (Derpy Hooves :3)

The animation is top notch, somehow they always keep the bar way up and continues to look great.

The characters are also so unbelievably cute, as they are expected to be, but it can take down the manliest of us at times.

It also has Lauren Faust behind it, who is one of the most influential person in animation. She worked on such shows as The Powerpuff Girls and Fauster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

Well, I could tell you why, even though its not the very best out of the others commented on this. I, too, am a fan of the show and this great community. Its known as "Becoming a Brony," if you watch the show in general.



Becoming a Brony:



1. Denial: Its a little girl show, why would I bother watching something as girly as this.

2. Anger: WTF IS THIS, I REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY GROWN MEN WATCH THIS COMPLETE TRASH!

3. Bargaining: OK, the show holds great writing, great characters, funny humor, and dark moments. I think I should watch more episodes, just to see more on my research.

4. Acceptance: OMG, I LOVE this show a whole lot, I just LOVE being a brony from the bottom of my heart, I just wonder what friendship could be. *singing the opening theme of the show*



So, these are the steps of becoming a brony in general. What I do is advice all the trolls and haters on the show: Watch the show before you judge. We aren't hurting anyone in general, we just enjoy this show from the bottom of our hearts, and love it to death. We, bronies, have this very important saying, "Love and Tolerance to all the haters and trolls everywhere."

I was once like you. I was into MLP when i was a lot younger but almost died laughing when i found out my boyfriend was brony. But he did get me into liking it again (though yes some of the songs still make me twinge and its embracing when your parents see you watching)



BUT its an all around funny show with funny characters and great plots. I always tell my friends to give it a chance to watch atleast 3 episodes, cause even if you dont like the all around feel to the show you're bound to like one of the characters.

I just like cartoons My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic is a fun cartoon there you go that is the reason it is a fun/funny cartoon may not be the best cartoon ever but i will never let others tell me i can't like a cartoon .

If you like cartoons gave it a try if not then stay away from it.

There are a pair of DVD's that have been released, whether those DVD's purely have a pair of episodes on each and every. there's no DVD set of the whole sequence, regrettably. optimistically there will be one sometime nevertheless.
