I'm still a newbie when it come to irc. So I am still searching for good irc channel where I can download stuff especially anime and movies.. Kind of something like #lurk is for downloading manga and #ebooks and #books are for downloading ebook. So I was wondering if there is something like that for downloading anime and movies.

What anime do you want to download specifically? I go to the fansub group's IRC channel (if they have bots). Like, if I wanted to download episode 4 of Hetalia Axis Powers I would find out which group subs it (or choose a group if there's multiple groups subbing) which is gg, look at packlists (like http://schneizel.com:9001/ ), then enter the command and download.



AniDB's a good site to find out what groups are subbing what, and has info about fansub groups including their IRC channel:
