Fairy Tail, first generation dragon slayers?

Question

Hey, I was just wondering what it meant to be a first generation dragon slayer, are they different in any way? Since there are both first, second and third generation dragon slayers.. People seem to make a big fuss about the first generation, so is there a difference between those and others? I don't mind spoilers, so go right ahead and take it out of the manga if you know something,.

First generation are those who were raised and taught by the original dragons

Second generation are those who were given the powers of dragons, not taught

Third generation are those who were raised, taught, and given the powers of dragons



The first generation were taught and trained all the way, meaning they're the strongest, since they've learned everything they could before the date 7/7/777

The second generation are the weakest as they were only given the powers, not taught, so they're not able to completely learn all of the ways of the dragons

The third generation are like the first generation, but weaker because they were younger when the dragons disappeared, making them unable to learn as much as the first generation, so they were given their powers like the second generation

The first generation dragon slayers were trained by dragons (like Natsu, Wendy and Gajeel) while the second generation had a Dragon Lacrima implanted in their body (like Laxus). The third generation is a combination of the previous two generations.

There are 3 generations of dragon slayers. The first generation of dragon slayers were taught Magic by dragons, like Natsu Dragneel, Wendy Marvell, and Gajeel Redfox. The second generation of dragon slayers have a dragon slayer magic lacrima placed in their bodies, like Laxus Dreyar. The third generation of dragon slayers are a combination of the first and second generation of dragon slayers. They were taught dragon slayer magic by dragons AND have a dragon slayer magic lacrima in their bodies, like Sting Eucliffe and Rogue Cheney.
