I don't like hentai, but I want something for mature audience. I don't like violence either. I read Suicide Club (manga) and it scarred me for life. No horror, violence, gore, etc. I have a weak heart... Lol.

Not sure if you'll consider this an answer but just to comment anyway, I was about to suggest a couple of my favorite animes which have more mature themes to it but since you mentioned you have a weak heart, I lost my chance. ^_^ Too bad. I'd say they're quite good although they have a lot of violence.



I'm also not sure if you're willing to watch a spin-off without watching the original, but if you are, I'd suggest Rurouni Kenshin Reflections.



Reflections is the second OVA of Rurouni Kenshin, the story of an infamous and highly skilled assasin in the Tokugawa era who regretted taking away so many lives that he chose to become a wanderer to seek atonment for his crimes. It's storyline is divided into 3 segments: the first OVA RK Tsuioku Hen/Trust and Betrayal chronicles his tragic life as a boy who was saved from impending death up to his early years as the feared and ruthless Battousai the Slasher and eventually the story behind his famous cross-shaped scar. Following this OVA is the tv series which revolves around Kenshin's new life with his newfound friends after wandering around the country for years. This one shows less bloodshed as compared to the previous but it still has a lot as Kenshin is forced every now and then to assume his former persona as Battousai to defend the people he loves and the things he care for.

The last and not the least of the three is RK Seisou Hen or Reflections. It attempts to show the major characters' lives after the series, focusing on Kenshin and Kaoru's life as a married couple in particular.



There are Pros and Cons in watching this OVA.



Pros:



This OVA has a mature theme. It talks about life, death, struggle, hope, disillusionment, devotion, love, and society

from different points-of-view.



It has great artwork and a great soundtrack, some of which are instrumental.



Cons:



You will fully appreciate this OVA if you were able to see the other one, Rurouni Kenshin Tsuioku Hen or Samurai X trust and Betrayal. Unfortuantely, this OVA contains a lot of violence and a lot of blood.



Second, both OVAs have a lot of pretty sad or just downright depressing themes and you would have to get past that sadness to appreciate the conflicting perspectives that the OVA has to offer.



So there. Hope you could try this although it's not really recommended for weak hearts and hyperactive tearducts. ^_^

Hot Gimmick delves into a deeper side found in every society, while still maintaining its shōjo roots.
