im confused on the relationship between baccano and durarara!!?

Question

um.... yeah. the title pretty much explains what the question is about...


trollers, jackas$es, or just plain idiots should expect to get a vending machine or stop sign thrown at them.

Baccano and Durarara were created by the same man, Ryohgo Narita. This is really the only connection they have. Though Durarara does have a couple "easter eggs" relating to Baccano, such as the Dollars website password being "baccano", baccano posters can be seen on billboards throughout Ikebokuro, and the characters Isaac and Miria making a short appearance. But they are not really connected, it's not necessary to watch both.



Baccano is very different from Durarara. Baccano is a bit more gorey. Set in the 1930s, It is about the intersecting stories of several unrelated characters who happen to be immortal, it has a lot to do with alchemists and mafia crime. I personally wasn't too into it but lots of people like it, you should give it a shot.

The relationship between Baccano! and Durarara!!? Well they both seem to have unnatural aspects to them. Baccano! has the elixir of immortality and Durarara!! has a guy who can throw vending machines and swing around a stop sign. Also Baccano! has inhuman characters like Claire (Vino) and Durarara!! has Shizuo. You also have Ladd, Ennis, Celty, and Izaya.



Also if you like Durarara!! you might like Baccano! as well. Some say that Baccano! is better watched in english dub rather than Japanese.

Guy number 1 is definitely the best choice. Guy numero two sounds like the kind of guy that tells you everything you want to hear and then once he's in a relationship he takes you for granted and turns into a total bum. I'm pretty sure they are compared because both stories are told the same way, always shifting between different characters perspectives. The whole story is in pieces, so the more you watch the more you know about the story.
