Is Gunter, the German pig, from the Sing movie, GAY?

Hi. There's an animated film out called Sing:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sing_(2016_film)

It's a story about funny animals competing in a singing competition- kind of like America's Got Talent or American Idol but with funny animals.

I am just wondering- is the German pig character, Gunter, GAY? I have seen ads for this film on TV that show the Gunter character:

reenacting the famous water scene from Flashdance, and I saw a clip of him singing a Lady Gaga song in the film. If he's intended to be gay, then this wouldn't be the first recent animated film with LGBT representation in it- Zootopia and Storks had that too. These films, and Sing, are SUPPOSED to be kids'/family films- I don't think KIDS need to be subjected to this. When I was coming up. homosexuality wasn't even an issue in kids'/family films. I am just curious about this. Please help- thank you.

Unlikely, considering the character is married with many children, all of whom have appeared in the trailers and TV spots. His wife is the other pig who is seen dancing in the supermarket in the ads.

EDIT: It appears I did mix-up certain characters. Regardless, a character acting flamboyantly like Gunter doesn't mean the character is is gay.

I can see why you did not see homosexual representation in popular media in the past: for many years, any depiction of homosexuality in mainstream entertainment was prohibited.

It is more so in children's animation, then and now. Currently, animated series such as Legend of Korra and Steven Universe have to be very subtle and can't be direct when depicting any kind of homosexuality.

Haven't watch it. But you can't decide a person's sexuality. If he was born gay, he will be gay for his entire life.
