I'm not talking about Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Image or any of the other mainstream comic books out there. So, Spiderman, Wolverine, Superman, Batman and all those others are out of the running. Give me some good reasons! Of course, as a comic book nut myself, I already have some favorites but there's always a title or five I may have overlooked.

Strangers in Paradise, by Terry Moore.

Strangers In Paradise (SIP) is the story of three friends, Francine, Katchoo and David and the people they fall in and out of love with.

It's a tale of dark pasts and hopeful futures, double-crosses and true friendship, love and hate.

In other words: it's a story of real life, kicked up a notch.

The highly acclaimed ongoing comic book series, Strangers In Paradise, was created by Terry Moore in 1993 and the continuing story is published every six weeks. SIP has been awarded numerous industry awards including the 2003 Inkpot Award for Outstanding Achievement in Comic Arts, a 2002 YALSA/ALA selection for Popular Paperbacks for Young Adults, the GLAAD Media Award for Best Comic Book in 2000, and the 1996 Will Eisner Comic Industry Award for Best Serialized Story.

A long running series about three friends. No super-heroes, no zombies, no magic, other than the magic of love. It's won several awards, has multiple collections and should be easily available at your local comics shop as well as your local bookstore.

Yeah i do too yet i won't be able to have the funds for them. comic books are more desirable severe priced than i presumed. If i'm fortunate i am going to discover sturdy ones on the library yet except that, i basically own some. My element is that observing/possessing the flicks/anime appears like a more desirable suited funding and that i learn about those more desirable suited because they marketplace them heavily. There are not an excellent form of comic e book shows on t.v. and there surely isn't any training at colleges that prepare you ways to make comic books. My basically source is the web chat rooms/q&a or once later on assembly someone who has similar hobbies.

I don't know if you'll count this (since it's printed not as a comic book, but as a book of previously-published comic strips), but I greatly enjoy Achewood.

Bone, of course. But then again, you knew that.

I loved the artwork - they were soooo cute! The story line was pretty damn good also. I really loved how the one rat creature loved quiche! :P

Then again, I really love you! :)
