Question:
Anime and Manga endings?

I really hate when the endings suck in some of them. -.-

*SPOILER(just incase)* A great example would be Samurai Champloo, the only thing I liked about the ending was that Jin and Mugen didn't want to kill each other, and that Fuu lied about the coin... They just left you wondering what was gonna happen. Like are they going to meet up again? Are they going to die? Is anyone gonna get married? I mean, c'mon. -_- lol

On another note, some actually ended very good. Like Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood or the manga(I read the manga :p). *ANOTHER SPOILER?* I especially like how in credits of the manga, they showed Winry and Ed's kids. :) Which was so unlike the origional anime; that ending was the worse out of the entire history of bad manga endings(lol). That ending got me mad because I used to be an EdxWinry fan. xD

But yeah, have you read any manga's or watched any anime's where you hated the ending? And why did you hate it? :D

i understand how you feel... i feel the same when animes or mangas that you love just don't have the ending that you expected! one of the biggest disappointments for me was kuroshitsuji or black butler... i used to be IN LOVE with it, and i still am, but i was really ticked off by the season 2 ending in the anime *SPOILER ALERT* i mean after all sebastian worked for and how many people died just so that sebastian can get ciel's soul, hannah had to bud in to make a ciel a demon. i mean i loved ciel and all that but that is just not a very good ending in my taste, i love cliff hangers more, i like to guess what happens after.... and hoping for another season but the author just killed off all hopes for that.

another one that i got really disappointed at was vampire knight... i know it's not finished but it's kind of getting disappointing by the chapter... *SPOILER* right after yuuki learnt that she was a vampire, all these crazy facts gets thrown in within a very short period of time (i think around 2-4 chapters) i had to read it around 5-6 times to get what was going on by the end of chapter i think it was 56 (not sure) which was quite annoying...

but another thing that i hate MORE is when animes NEVER END!!! i mean i don't mind one to four seasons.... but when animes gets longer than that... you would get bored... i don't have patience for that... we all know that the hero is going to get what he wants, and then another adventure comes up with all these other filler that annoys me sooo much!

Obviously there'll be major spoilers in this post as well.

Clannad ~After Story~: This has easily been one of the most controversial endings I've seen from any anime. It pretty much implemented a fantasy reset button at the end to nullify everything that happened in the past few episodes, bringing Nagisa back alive after her depressing death. And those episodes were just so damn emotional...I couldn't stop crying. They just did so much...emotionally, character-wise, etc. So for it to end the way it did, I felt almost betrayed that it made me go through that experience when everything was going to be alright in the end. I know some people argue that it was only following the visual novel (where the ending works much better due to game mechanics) and there was foreshadowing, so it was a total deus ex machina, but I still hated it. The only thing it really got right was the tone...the show was meant to end happily, but the situation it put itself in just really pissed me off.

Death Note: Actually, the ending was solid, an emotional death for Light. It's just that the way it lead up to that conclusion didn't seem quite plausible given Light's prudence. Well, in general the series went downhill after L's death anyway.

Kuragehime: It was a pretty solid show so the ending didn't affect me as much as the other other two, but the way it ended...it wasn't really an ending at all. There were still many loose ends to be tied but it just sort of ended abruptly. Probably could've used a few more episodes to flesh out a better ending.

Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge: The first season had an ambitious premise with its oddball romance, and I was hoping to see a little more character development with Nino. Unfortunately, they tease us in the second season with the whole "Trip to Venus" storyline, but for some reason, the producers decided to never resolve it. In fact, they completely disregard and replace it with something totally random.

Welcome to the NHK: The ending was just...dull. I expected more analysis into the psychotic mind towards the end of the series but it never delivered. Barely felt like an ending to be honest.

Well, one ending I hated was the ending of Shugo Chara, the anime version. Why? -_-' Because the ending-- better yet, the entire third SEASON was full of fricking fillers! Another reason was because the story ending with a stinking Amu and Tadase kiss on the cheek, and then the most epic character in the whole show just LEAVES! >.< I want Ikuto back! At least in the manga, we get to see Ikuto AFTER the drama, actually happy for once, even if the ending was open-ended! The manga was already better!

Another ending I hated:

I absolutely HATED the ending of Full Moon wo Sagashite after reading the manga series. -_-' In the manga *SPOILER*, Takuto and Mitsuki meet again when she's actually 16, and he's human again! In addition, we get to see all of the characters points of views after the fact. In the anime... Meroko leaves, and the story ends with Mitsuki staring at the human Takuto again. I didn't like that ending too much because, well, it was too cheery compared to the manga that made me cry.

Yet Another:

Mermaid Melody. 0_0 I read the manga a bit, and just wanted to skip to the ending because I had gone through most of the anime and skipped to what happens afterwards. The only thing I like is that my least favorite character in the anime, Mikaru, commits suicide and turns into a baby in the manga. ^-^ And plus, the manga ends a bit differently because it's a bit more... critical. X3 But I LOVE how Seira is there anyways too.

And another:

... 0_0 Okay, I admit it. I HATE Naruto with a passion, but... the manga is a bit more detailed. -_- WHY do I hate the anime? THEY FRICKING KILLED HINATA! SHE WAS THE ONLY ONE I COULD RELATE TO BEING SHY, QUIET, AND WANTING TO CONFESS!

Black Butler II the anime made me frickin disappointed.

SPOILER as well : Sebastian still couldn't eat Ciel! for the 2nd TIME!! Ciel just prances around and say hey! Im a demon now and your my butler FOREVER..and Sebastien..just looks awfully sad. THE END.

School Days was a bit messed up than i expected. I thought it would be a normal shojo manga, but NO...The girls try to kill each other for a boy. Very unrealistic...

Rumbling Hearts (18+)

Long story short, the whore gets the guy instead of the hospitalized girl.

Evangelion

This classic anime was just amazing...but ending was just very strange. The ending just looked more like a ceremony of closing the series than an ENDING. As for the movie to follow it...I wont say it was bad..but just..weird.

I apologize if any of my opinions have offended anyone, its just a mere opinion.
