However, I realized over the years the game began losing its fun. It seems by now the series has become an addictive fad now. The anime continues to be popular, but it doesn't seem to have the same appeal as the earlier seasons.
But mainly, I realized many "fanboys" of Pokemon have now taken the game very far. Ever since the 4th Generation has been released (Diamond, Pearl, Platinum) the competitive side of Pokemon had been revealed. I've seen millions of players now convert to newer theories in the game such as EV training, IV breeding, strategizing, and eventually many have lost their ability of seeing the fun in playing the RPG. I've played better games with better standards than Pokemon. Zelda, Final Fantasy, Half-Life, I find them all to be better than Pokemon. But that's just me.
I'm sure this happens to many games, too. But particularly Pokemon, which seems to be the only RPG receiving more than enough credit in the world, fanboys happens to berate other not as successful RPG games such as Mothership and Final Fantasy VI and VII. There are probably thousands of RPG games which were underrated by Pokemon fanboys. Plus, seeing that many of their fans are kids, they don't really want to give the better RPG's and anime a chance.
I promise you I'm not ranting anything in my question. But since I'm not a Pokemon or an anime fan anymore, I want to know the opinions of others on this website. Anybody have something to say?
