What's Prince Naveen's ethnicity from the Princess and the Frog? In my opinion he's obviously Indian (brown)?

I think that Prince Naveen from The Princess and the Frog is Indian (or like Trinidadian or from Guyana where many people have an indian background) because first of all his name is Naveen which is an Indian name, his mom was wearing a sari (traditional indian clothing), both his parents themselves look indian themselves, and he is a little lighter than Tiana so I'm guessing he's brown! lol i dont understand why people think he's white or black =p the only thing i'm confused about is his accent, is it supposed to be an indian accent or are they trying to show that he's mixed...

I'm almost certain it would be black. Disney is just now making black leads so I don't think in the same step they would go interracial too.



Since its lousiana I guess french black or something. Can't really tell where people from that state are. Voice is always hard to pinpoint for a non local. Could be french spies for all we know.

The name is Indian, Maldonia could be Maldives (Islands South of India), Macedonia (Mediterranean), or Moldova (Black Sea). Obviously he is not Sub Saharan or his parents and the Kingdom of Maldonia would reflect Sub Saharan Attire, architecture, and weaponry (Animal skins, Mud Fortresses and Huts, and Spears). The kingdom of Maldonia doesn't even resemble converted Sub Saharan Muslims or else the King and the rest of the kingdom would be wearing Arabian Garbs. The voice actor of Naveen is a Brazilian Portuguese (very pale with no visible admixture).



Seems like the Kingdom of Maldonia is somewhere in South Eastern Europe since the castle and attires of Maldonian Kingdom even the voice actor resembles Europeans more than Indian, Ottoman, Arabian, Abyssinia, Ashanti, Yoruba, Dinka, or Igbo, However the Queen of Maldonia could be Indian married off to the Maldonian King as she wears Indian Garments.
