I need manga recommendations please!?

Question

I'm looking for some good ones to read, but there are so many and I'm too lazy to read all the reviews. I want something with a good plot, or at least some surprise events. Humor is good, but not too much, and a little violence is alright (I get confuse with all the fight pannels). I also like manga with good art qualities, that's why I haven't picked up fruit basket, the cover art doesn't seem that amazing. Here's what i've read, I like romance comedies, but I'm willing to try some other ones (oh and it would be great if there weren't 20 million books in the series, they get expensive), anyways 'Girl Got Game', 'Pretear', 'Vampire knight', 'Absolute Boyfriend', (They've gotten bad rating but I still enjoy them)

The manga your looking for is called Ranma 1/2, It is about two 16 year old teens named Akane Tendo and Ranma Saotome, who are forced to become engaged by their parents. I wouldn't be suggesting it if that were all though, Guess what Ranma turns into a girl everytime he's splashed with cold water wich can cause some pretty awkward and hillarious situations, and also Ranma is a martial arist with just a few hundred or so people out to get him. and then throw in a psycotic woman who loves ranma and 2 other fiances, both who seem to like to find like theres no tommorow. And then theres ranma's main rival Ryoga Hibiki who just so happens to like akane. This is manga also has a great art style with the illustrator being Rumiko Takashi who also after she was done with Ranma made inuyasha which I'm guessing you have heard of and it basically uses the same art style. This is the perfect series with basically everything that you wanted in a manga in it, also there are 36 mangas so it's a pretty long series and also if you like it you can watch the anime wich has 161 eps 12 ovas and 3 movies.
